It's 1988, Kylie is storming the pop charts, bouffant is back and all normal fashion sense has been thrown out of the window. Into this cultural melting pot step five desperately lonely singles in search of a good night out. As the evening unfolds, inhibitions and social restraint are abandoned, exposing the foibles, pain and humour of the characters' inner lives. In this hilarious Australian comedy, nothing is quite as it first seems.
